The Committee resumed their consideration of memoranda by the Official Committee (OPD(67) 46) on the results of the defence expenditure studies and by the Defence Secretary (OPD(67) 47) on the military aircraft programme. They also had before them memoranda by the Defence Secretary (OPD(67) 49) on defence expenditure and the balance of payments and by the Minister of Overseas Development (OPD (67) 48) on aid and the balance of
payments.
The Committee's discussion and conclusions reached are
recorded separately.
